The new World Seniors Tour has announced an end of season Shoot-Out with a minimum prize fund of £2,000.
The top 16 players on the new World Seniors Tour ranking list will fight it out for the £1,000 top prize in Newbury next May.
Victor Wood Kia is sponsoring the event as the World Seniors Tour continues to grow with the backing of Snooker Legends promoter Jason Francis.
Francis said: “I’m very aware that each event can only have one winner who progresses to our final stage event with our legends.”
“By adding in this end of season rankings weekend for the top 16 we can reward consistency but also commitment from those players who support and enter multiple qualifiers.”
The World Seniors Tour was announced in June with four main events scheduled to take place between now and the end of the campaign.
Various qualifying tournaments will be staged across the United Kingdom, Ireland, and China as amateur players over the age of 40 attempt to join the legends at the World Seniors Championship, Seniors UK Championship, Seniors Masters, and Seniors Irish Masters.
The first preliminary was staged last weekend in Newbury with 63 year-old former professional Les Dodd emerging triumphant against Simon Dent to book his place in the Seniors UK Championship in October.
Below is the top 16 in the current rankings table.
