Well, give yourself a pat on the back, we’ve made it to the end of another year.
As we say goodbye to 2017, we can reflect on another twelve months that provided countless moments of jubilation and joy, coupled with numerous instances of defeat and despair.
Over the last few days, we have looked at some of the highs and lows in addition to celebrating this year with the Big Quiz of 2017, while also commenting on a difficult choice as to who stands out as the Player of the Year.
It has been another record-breaking 52 weeks here on SnookerHQ as well.
This post represents the 459th published – just shy of 100 more than last year’s 366, which was then a record.
Partly because of this and mostly because of your generous and loyal support, SnookerHQ has also seen a remarkable spike in activity with a dramatic increase in the number of visitors to the site and the hits that this traffic has generated.
With just a day left to go, the website has attracted more than 325,000 page views this year and, to each and every one of you who has made this kind of success possible, I offer you my sincere thanks, hopeful that you have enjoyed the content that has been shared.
According to the stats, visitors have come in from a staggering 192 different countries this year, with the UK and Ireland understandably topping the list by some distance, but not forgetting the single hit each received from the likes of San Marino, Yemen, Lesotho, and Guam.
A special gratitude, as always, is reserved for the various other writers who have contributed in 2017, notably Jonathan “Sniper” Williams, whose regular features on the Irish amateur scene remain as popular as ever.
Together, let’s make 2018 even bigger and better.
