Hendry and O’Sullivan on Instagram Again

Stephen Hendry and Ronnie O’Sullivan have already got together a couple of times on the social media platform.

The Premier League may be returning, but there’s more to watch on Wednesday evening as Hendry and O’Sullivan are set for another chat on Instagram Live.

Since the coronavirus pandemic swept Europe, and particularly after the snooker season was brought to an abrupt halt, Hendry has frequently used his Instagram page to broadcast live discussions with another famous pal.

World champion Judd Trump, Steve Davis, Mark Williams, Ken Doherty, Neil Robertson, and even footballer John Terry have been among the guests on his self-titled “Cue and A”.

Each vodcast has proven to be very popular, offering a more relaxed insight into the players away from the intense heat of competition on the green baize.

The most talked about editions, however, have of course been the episodes involving Hendry and O’Sullivan.

The duo shared a sometimes fierce rivalry throughout the 1990s and into the new century, but they have almost always shared a mutual respect for one another and these days represent close buddies away from the circuit.

In their prior chats, they talked about a few of their famous battles against one another – including the time when O’Sullivan walked out of their UK Championship tie in 2006.

Greatest achievements, future plans, favourite events, and even food have been other topics on the agenda.

O’Sullivan last featured competitively in last week’s Championship League, bowing out during the second group stage.

The “Rocket” won’t feature in next week’s lucrative Tour Championship, in which he’s the reigning champion, but will be expected to compete in the rescheduled World Championship in July and August.

Hendry and O’Sullivan will be on Instagram Live at 8pm on Wednesday evening in the UK.
