The second oldest ranking event on the calendar got under way on Monday in Milton Keynes.
The 2020 UK Championship has commenced and we’ll all be hoping for an exciting tournament with maybe even one or two 147 breaks thrown in for good measure.
A ranking tournament since 1984 and in existence for seven years longer than that, this title has always been one of the most sought-after on the circuit.
Practically all of the sport’s most important figures have etched their names onto the trophy down through the years.
Some of them have added to the tournament’s history further with a contribution of a maximum break.
Indeed, the UK Championship has provided more 147 breaks in its history than any other event – including the World Championship.
It’s been a while since we’ve had a little quiz here on SnookerHQ, and some of you have waited patiently for the teasers to return.
That patience will be rewarded in the coming weeks with a few more quizzes to test your knowledge in before this year is done.
For now, see how many you can name in this list of the players who have compiled 147 breaks in the UK Championship.
While some of the names are familiar, others are a little left field so getting 100% will be an impressive feat.
*The quiz has been updated to include the 17th and 18th UK Championship maximums that were made in the 2020 tournament.
