Snooker returns this week with the British Open qualifying round at the Robin Park Leisure Centre in Wigan.
After a week of no action following the conclusion of the Championship League, most of the players will have another chance to sharpen up for the new 2022/23 campaign.
The tournament’s top 16 seeds from the world rankings will have their matches heldover to when the main event takes place in Milton Keynes next month.
That will include the likes of world number one Ronnie O’Sullivan and reigning British Open champion Mark Williams.
But the remaining competitors will participate in the single British Open qualifying round which incorporates a short best-of-seven format.
There will be eight matches on each day between Tuesday and Sunday, with the reward a trip to the Marshall Arena for what will be the third ranking event of the term.
The likes of Ding Junhui, David Gilbert, Stephen Hendry, and Reanne Evans will feature, hoping to get one step closer to the top prize worth £100,000.
