2026 British Open qualifiers: Full list of results

Jack Lisowski, Jak Jones, and Chang Bingyu were among the players who made it through the British Open qualifiers this week in Leicester.

Lisowski has had a poor start to the new campaign but secured a much-needed victory with his 4-1 outing against Scott Donaldson at the Mattioli Arena.

Championship League Snooker winner Jones had a tougher time of it but managed to eventually emerge with a 4-3 triumph over Matthew Selt.

The rapidly improving Chang produced another high-scoring display, meanwhile, to see off the challenge of former world champion Stuart Bingham with a 4-0 rout.

Elsewhere, Liam Highfield compiled his first 147 break on the World Snooker Tour in a 4-1 defeat of seven-time ranking event winner Stephen Maguire.

Among those also through to the last 64 are Ali Carter, Elliot Slessor, Zhang Anda, Matthew Stevens, and last year’s British Open runner-up Anthony McGill.

Women’s star Bai Yulu progressed as well courtesy of a 4-1 victory over Sahil Nayyar.

In addition to Bingham, a few other notable names failed in their attempts to get beyond the preliminary phase of the competition.

Thepchaiya Un-Nooh, Gary Wilson, Zhou Yuelong, Ryan Day, Marco Fu, and Jimmy White all bowed out of the running.

The British Open adopts a random-draw format, meaning the top 16 seeds also enter in the round of 128.

The matches involving those players, however, have been held over to the venue stages, which take place from August 31 to September 6 at the Centaur in Cheltenham.
