The 2025 Xi’an Grand Prix commences on Tuesday with the 2025/26 season’s sixth ranking title up for grabs in China.
So far this term, each tournament on the calendar has produced two different finalists and a different champion, so it’ll be interesting to see if that trend continues here.
With a top prize of £177,000 up for grabs, the Xi’an Grand Prix represents one of the most lucrative events in the first half of the campaign.
Kyren Wilson returns as the defending champion – the Kettering cueist having emerged with the trophy in his hands just over a year ago in what was the inaugural staging of the competition.

Who is in the 2025 Xi’an Grand Prix draw?
Most of the fixtures from the opening round of the event already took place last month in Leicester.
The likes of Shaun Murphy and Mark Allen, who were recent winners of the British Open and the English Open respectively, have safely made it through to the last 64.
Murphy will look to sustain his run of form when he faces Long Zehuang while Allen entertains Oliver Lines.
Mark Selby, Barry Hawkins, and Si Jiahui are others from the top 16 in the world rankings who have safely negotiated their first hurdle.
There were, however, a few round-of-128 matches involving high-profile contenders that were held over to the venue stages.
That includes Wilson’s opener against Haris Tahir, world number one Judd Trump’s game with Ng On Yee, and world champion Zhao Xintong’s clash with Wang Xinbo.
Ronnie O’Sullivan, Neil Robertson, Ding Junhui, and Mark Williams are other marquee names to have had their early encounters in the event deferred.
