Who are the former champions?
Kyren Wilson is the defending German Masters champion, the Warrior getting his hands on the Brandon Parker Trophy for the second time last year with a 10-9 defeat of Barry Hawkins.
Wilson is one of four multiple winners of the event since 2011, with Mark Williams and Ali Carter representing other two-time champions.
World number one Judd Trump has emerged triumphantly a record three times, claiming back-to-back crowns in 2020 and 2021 before completing the hat-trick in 2024.
Ronnie O’Sullivan, Ding Junhui, Mark Selby, Martin Gould, Anthony Hamilton, and Zhao Xintong have each etched their names onto the silverware on one occasion.
How does the 2026 German Masters draw work?
The German Masters draw works in a similar way to the format adopted on the Home Nations series, although there has been another tweak to the scheduling this year.
For the 2026 edition, only the top 16 seeds have been guaranteed a spot at the venue stages where they will enter at the round-of-64 stage.
A preliminary phase was already held earlier this month in Sheffield, with 16 players having already secured their spots in the last 32.
That includes 2013 and 2023 champion Ali Carter, former world champion Stuart Bingham, and this season’s Northern Ireland Open winner Jack Lisowski.
The seeds will kick start the action at the Tempodrom with their held-over matches from the last 64.
Kyren Wilson will launch his defence against Robert Milkins, a two-time former ranking event winner who is battling tour survival this season.
Priced at 7/2, three-time champion Trump is the pre-tournament favourite in the outright market with more snooker odds available on the ComeOn sportsbook.
Trump entertains Cheung Ka Wai, Zhao faces an all-Chinese clash against Jiang Jun, while O’Sullivan is due to meet Sanderson Lam.
