The 2014 Home Internationals gets under way on Saturday at the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds.
The competition pits teams from Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales against each other in an annual bragging rights affair.
The Senior event is the main attraction but there are also trophies to be won for the Masters and Billiards categories, as well as two underage levels, which feature participants from other nations France and Belgium as well.
A strong Irish senior team consists of Robert Murphy, Rodney Goggins, Michael Judge and Keith Sheldreck with the quartet hoping to regain the crown last won in 2012.
The reigning champions are Wales, having narrowly pipped Ireland to the post in the 2013 edition last year.
The best of luck to the lads and let’s hope they can lead their country to a fifth Home Internationals title on Monday.
