The last 32 draw for the 2015 Betfred World Snooker Championship has just been made.
All matches in the first round will be the best of 19 frames with defending champion Mark Selby beginning his defence on the opening Saturday of the tournament against Kurt Maflin.
Five-time champion Ronnie O’Sullivan meets Craig Steadman while there’s an interesting all-Welsh affair between Mark Williams and Matthew Stevens.
As an aside, the draw was supposed to be live on the World Snooker YouTube channel only for the video to be uploaded but not made available to the public.
An embarrassing start to this year’s tournament and, really, a shambolic gaff by the organisers.
Here’s the full draw:
Mark Selby vs Kurt Maflin
Stephen Maguire vs Anthony McGill
Joe Perry vs Zhang Anda
Shaun Murphy vs Robin Hull
Barry Hawkins vs Matthew Selt
Mark Allen vs Ryan Day
Ali Carter vs Alan McManus
Neil Robertson vs Jamie Jones
Ding Junhui vs Mark Davis
John Higgins vs Robert Milkins
Marco Fu vs Jimmy Robertson
Judd Trump vs Stuart Carrington
Ricky Walden vs Graeme Dott
Stuart Bingham vs Robbie Williams
Mark Williams vs Matthew Stevens
Ronnie O’Sullivan vs Craig Steadman
Reaction to the draw and a full preview of the first round will follow.
David, very quick thanks.
By the way, I was also very surprised not to find the live stream. Moreover, it is impossible to download the video at present. Frankly speaking, such things do not make snooker popular. Why not make a good show out of this draw? What I saw was a very boring procedure(( Shame on them
