High Five

Happy Birthday to, well, me! Or rather, SnookerHQ.

Five birthday
Sincere thanks to all readers.

The website is five years old today and I would just like to take this opportunity to once again thank all of you for continuing to make it such a success.

Year on year traffic has increased with the recent 2015/16 campaign breaking loads of site records for page views and daily/monthly traffic statistics.

Since May 30th 2011, when I launched the site with an interview of three-time Irish National champion Vincent Muldoon, there have been more than 1,400 articles published on SnookerHQ.

The next article, ironically, will be a feature on new Irish pro Josh Boileau as he makes his professional bow on Thursday against Matthew Stevens.

There’s no plans to shut down yet; so long as there is interest this will be as good a place as any to service your snooker news needs.

Here’s to another five? Rack ’em up.

Creator of SnookerHQ and a journalism graduate, David has been actively reporting on snooker since 2011. He has been published in national publications and has appeared on BBC World News and on talkSPORT radio as an analyst.
