The fourth senior ranking event of the Irish campaign takes place this weekend with the DBSL Premier Cup in Carlow.
52 players, led by ranking event champions this season Brendan O’Donoghue, TJ Dowling and Michael Judge, will compete at the Ivy Rooms on Saturday and Sunday for the €500 top prize.
As a result of the lowest number of entrants for a tournament this term, 12 players have been seeded through to the last 32.
As well as the highlighted trio, the likes of Robert Murphy, Philip Browne and David Hogan are also in the draw – each beaten finalists in the three events held so far.
Also in action for the first time this campaign will be four-time national champion Martin McCrudden, while recent underage winners Shane Bates and Aaron Hill feature in the first round too.
Among those missing from the event will be National Championship runner-up Jonathan Williams, who was forced to withdraw with a shoulder injury.
Matches in both the senior and masters events throughout the weekend will be streamed via this link.
