Free Snooker at Rileys on National Snooker Week

Rileys will be running National Snooker Week in July, giving you the chance to play snooker for free.

Rileys National Snooker WeekThe week will run from July 24 to 30 with free snooker sessions at any of 25 Rileys venues around the UK.

All players must do is register at for a free membership and book a free hour of snooker using the voucher code WPBSA.

This initiative is part of a drive by Rileys alongside the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association and World Snooker to get more people involved with the sport.

World Snooker Chairman Barry Hearn said: “This is a fabulous idea and the perfect way to get more people playing snooker, whether they are regular players or trying it for the first time.

“We are fully aware that we live in a world where there are so many leisure activities available for people and we need initiatives like this to attract people to snooker.

“Our sport has had tremendous success at professional level in recent years and there has never been a better time to be a pro player, with tournaments all around the world and £12 million in prize money this season.

“But we need to look to the future and remain aware of the importance of grassroots, because we need to inspire the next generation of Mark Selbys and Ronnie Sullivans.

“That’s why we will be introducing a new Challenge Tour next season, to give the amateur scene in the UK a boost. And our governing body the WPBSA has been successful in various projects to get more people of all backgrounds involved in snooker.

“This chance to enjoy free snooker is a great opportunity for everyone and we’re delighted to be working with Rileys on National Snooker Week.”

Rileys Marketing Manager Ben Pearce said: “Everyone at Rileys is committed to cue sports and has invested over £150,000 in table refurbishment since new owners bought us in 2014. We are looking forward to working with both World Snooker and the WPBSA in offering an opportunity to play for free a sport which has great heritage in the UK.”
