UK Championship title sponsor Betway has teamed up with some of snooker’s most well-known characters for a second rendering of Crazy Snooker.
Last year, the crazy golf-inspired game was watched more than half a million times and apparently this year’s edition is even crazier and wackier than ever.
Neil Robertson returns for a second year, perhaps seeking to avenge his crushing defeat to Mark Selby in last year’s round.
The format has changed, though, with the Australian now teaming up with World Open and English Open runner-up Kyren Wilson in a tag-team clash against veteran BBC commentators Dennis Taylor and John Parrott.
There’ll be plenty of serious action to enjoy in York over the coming fortnight, with 128 players competing for a hefty £170,000 top prize at the Barbican Centre.
Maybe a Crazy Snooker inspired victory for Robertson or Wilson will get them in the winning mood?
Then again, the Par 3 champion at Augusta has never gone on to claim the Masters green jacket, so maybe it’d be safer if the old-timers came out on top on this occasion.
