World Seniors 6 Red Championship Draw and Preview

The World Seniors 6 Red Championship takes place on Sunday at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Eight players will fight it out for the winner-takes-all prize fund of £20,000 in what is the third event of the World Seniors Tour campaign.

Both previous winners from this term are in action with UK seniors champion Ken Doherty facing local cueist Patrick Wallace.

The winner of that quarter-final clash will take on either Tony Drago or reigning world seniors champion Aaron Canavan in the last four.

Meanwhile, the opposite side of the World Seniors 6 Red Championship draw features a pair of legends in Stephen Hendry and Jimmy White.

Hendry begins his bid for a maiden title at this level with a contest against fellow former world champion Joe Johnson.

The “Whirlwind”, on the other hand, will look to collect back-to-back trophies following his recent glory in the Irish Seniors Masters when he entertains Jonathan Bagley.

All of the fixtures will take place over the short best of seven frames format with only six reds, as opposed to the traditional 15, in use.

Live coverage will be on FreeSports.
