Live Free Stream for Judgement Day in Snooker

It has become one of the most exciting parts of the snooker calendar.

Live coverage of Judgement Day in the World Snooker Championship qualifiers will be available to stream for free on Facebook and YouTube – the World Snooker Tour has announced.

Hosted by Rob Walker, the Judgement Day Show will include live matches from the final preliminary round, exclusive interviews with the players, and expert analysis.

The action will take place on April 13th and 14th, with the 16 qualifiers earning their coveted spots in the draw for the first-round proper at the Crucible Theatre.

As well as being on the Eurosport app, which will provide coverage of all ten days, viewers will have the opportunity to stream the last two days of the snooker qualifiers that are collectively known as Judgement Day through the WST Facebook and YouTube channels.

In recent years, the extravaganza has become a must-watch for snooker fans as the competitors scramble to join the elite top 16 at the venue stages of the World Championship.

Some of the drama that has unfolded could rival the twists and turns that are regularly seen at the business end of ranking events throughout the campaign.

Eight players will seal their Crucible berths on the 13th with an additional eight completing the line-up a day later.

More than 100 contenders will enter next week’s qualifying tournament with the aspirations of making it all the way to home of the sport.

Among them will be legends Stephen Hendry and Jimmy White, who were paired in the first qualifying round of an unbelievable draw that was revealed last week.

While the main target is of course the Crucible itself, for many players – including White – the qualifiers also represent the last opportunity to gain the ranking points needed to secure tour survival.

Young Chinese duo Yuan Sijun and Luo Honghao will need wins in order to scramble their ways into the top 64 of the end-of-season world rankings, while former European Masters champion Jimmy Robertson is a notable name who is just inside the cut-off line as things stand.

The World Snooker Championship qualifiers take place from April 5th to April 14th.
