The three-time champion will not take part in Stage Three of the competition.
Judd Trump is out of the Championship League running after finishing second in Group A at the Morningside Arena in Leicester on Thursday.
The world number one could only muster four points from his three round-robin fixtures, with Tom Ford instead moving on to the final phase of the ranking event.
Ford won two of his league matches, including a 3-0 victory over Trump at the end of the day that safeguarded his progress at the expense of his esteemed fellow Englishman.
Ford tallied breaks of 124, 78, and 77 in a dominant display as he continues his bid for a maiden ranking event success on the Main Tour at the age of 37.
Unlike Trump, the top seed in Group B had no problems with making it through in the Championship League as Mark Allen breezed past his opponents to the loss of just a single frame.
The Northern Irishman beat Fergal O’Brien and Ricky Walden 3-0 either side of a 3-1 victory against Peter Lines as he took the maximum possible points return.
Allen and Ford will feature in Group 1 of phase three on Friday alongside reigning champion Kyren Wilson and Chinese amateur contender Bai Langning.
In Group 2, David Gilbert, Ali Carter, Ryan Day, and Cao Yupeng will battle it out for a place in Friday’s final.
The winners of each group will compete against each other in a standalone bout for the Championship League title, finally bringing an end to the uninspiring season-opening event that has lasted for almost four weeks.
