Xiao Guodong and Ben Woollaston joined the last 32 of Championship League Snooker after topping their groups on Monday in Leicester.
Both players went undefeated in their respective round-robin groups from Stage One of the competition at the Morningside Arena.
Xiao got his day off to a slow start by recording a 2-2 draw with veteran Rory McLeod in his opening fixture from Group 32.
However, the Chinese competitor followed that up with successive victories over Alexander Ursenbacher and Martin Gould to guarantee first place.
Woollaston had a similar record except in reverse, as the Englishman first took control of Group 16 with back-to-back triumphs.
The 2020 runner-up – when the tournament was staged as a non-ranking event – beat both Liam Graham and Peter Lines with whitewash scorelines.
Woollaston required just a point from his remaining outing against Jimmy Robertson, which is exactly what he got following a 2-2 draw with his countryman.
Xiao Guodong and Ben Woollaston become the 11th and 12th players through to Stage Two of the ranking event later in July.
On Tuesday, Stage One continues with Stuart Bingham joining the fray in Group 15 alongside Matthew Stevens, Allan Taylor, and Duane Jones.
Group 28 will also take place with Anthony Hamilton joined by Ben Mertens, Ryan Thomerson, and tour rookie Xing Jihao.
