The qualifying stage for the International Championship concluded on Saturday with the remaining six results at Ponds Forge.

Former winner Ricky Walden was among the competitors last in action as the preliminary phase wrapped up in Sheffield.

The 2014 champion compiled breaks of 88 and 75 in orchestrating a straightforward 6-1 victory over Jiang Jun.

World Championship quarter-finalist Jak Jones also progressed to the venue stages of the ranking event in Tianjin.

The Welshman beat Aaron Hill 6-2 and was joined by countryman Daniel Wells in the last 64 – the latter triumphing over Liam Highfield by the same margin.

Pang Junxu confirmed his return trip home to China courtesy of a 6-3 defeat of Zak Surety.

Scott Donaldson and Oliver Lines were the other two to make it through following respective 6-4 successes against Louis Heathcote and Lukas Kleckers.

Earlier in the week, most of the heavy hitters safely negotiated their initial hurdle in the competition.

The likes of Mark Selby, Mark Allen, John Higgins, Mark Williams, Shaun Murphy, and Neil Robertson all recorded positive results in the International Championship qualifying round.

World number one Ronnie O’Sullivan, world champion Luca Brecel, and reigning International Championship winner Judd Trump are among a small group of players who have had their round-of-128 fixtures held over to the venue stages in November.
