The top 16 players who are set to be invited to the 2025 Masters snooker tournament in January are now confirmed.
This week’s UK Championship provided competitors on the main tour with their last opportunity to earn valuable ranking points and challenge for a spot at the Alexandra Palace.
But Jack Lisowski’s quarter-final defeat to Mark Allen in York on Friday means that no new players can break into the list this weekend.
Ronnie O’Sullivan will be the top seed at the 2025 Masters, where the reigning champion will attempt to add to his haul of snooker titles by capturing the prestigious invitational for a record-extending ninth time.
A lot of the other seeded positions can still change depending on how results transpire across the upcoming couple of days at the UK Championship.
Kyren Wilson will definitely be the second seed at the Masters as the reigning world champion, with world number one Judd Trump acting as the third seed.
Three-time Masters champion Mark Selby is provisionally in line to be the fourth seed, but the Leicester man could be usurped by Mark Allen if the Pistol can replicate his UK victory from 2022.
Mark Williams, Luca Brecel, and Shaun Murphy all have their seeding positions set in stone from sixth to eighth respectively.
The order from ninth down could change depending on how long Barry Hawkins can continue his impressive UK Championship run at the Barbican Centre.
By guaranteeing himself £50,000 in prize money this week already, the Hawk has safeguarded his spot at number 16 at least.
Should Hawkins overcome Allen in the semi-finals and reach the UK Championship final, however, he would become the 13th seed for the Ally Pally.
The 45 year-old would rise even further to as high as ninth if he were to land the £250,000 champion’s cheque on Sunday.
Ding Junhui, Zhang Anda, Gary Wilson, Ali Carter, Si Jiahui, John Higgins, and Chris Wakelin occupy the positions from ninth to 15th currently.
Both Si and Wakelin will be making their Masters debuts when the action takes place in the English capital city from January 12th to 19th.
Among the high-profile snooker players who are missing out on a ticket to the 2025 Masters this season are Neil Robertson, Jak Jones, and Jack Lisowski.
The draw for the 2025 Masters will take place on Sunday during the UK Championship final.
