Today, Barry Hawkins became the 50th ranking event winner in snooker history.
It may seem like a lot but, as was pointed out to me earlier on, when you consider there were 13 champions before Stephen Hendry notched his first, it becomes understandable how we have now accumulated half a century.
To celebrate the occasion, I have set up a quiz on Sporcle to see how many of the 50 you can all name inside 10 minutes.
Don’t go straight to our good friend Google to cheat. It’s just a bit of fun and there’s no shame in not being able to name them all in such a short space of time.
Who am I kidding? There’s plenty of shame in it! And you call yourself a snooker fan…
Incidentally, I got 46 in a trial run so, eh, shame on me.
