The main tour is still dominated by the same core nations that helped make snooker into the mainstream sport it has become today.
However, significant efforts have been made in an attempt to make the sport more global – with the ultimate goal seemingly to secure inclusion in the 2024 Olympic Games.
For the 2015/16 campaign there are a total of 20 different nationalities representing the 128 players on the circuit.
