Holland Shoots Century as Murtagh and Cusack Win in CrossGuns Junior Series

Last Saturday week there was a superb day of snooker at Event 7 in the CrossGuns Junior Series.

With several top Irish juniors competing the standard on show was exceptional and congratulations to the winners on the day, Cian Murtagh and Darragh Cusack.

However, without doubt the highlight of the day was the 107 break by Aaron Holland in his first round match.

The high scoring continued throughout the day, most notably in the Under-19 final between Cusack and Andrei Blondu as a high-quality encounter boasted a 50-plus break in each of the five frames.

Earlier, Cian Murtagh won his maiden Under-14 event by defeating Jack Sheridan in the final.

Well done to all the players who competed on the day and, with just two events left in this season’s series, Blondu has almost assured himself of becoming the inaugural Crossguns Player of the Year winner.

John Joyce, meanwhile, may just need one more win to claim The Billiard Co. Under-14 Player of the Year title.

Aaron Holland, with his fantastic century, leads the way for the SnookerHQ high break prize, but the Crossguns Junior Scholarship for next season is still very much up for grabs.

See you all at Event 8 on Saturday, April 16th.
