The 2025/26 season will commence soon and almost all of the players who will compete on the World Snooker Tour this term are now known.
Q School concluded at the start of June, adding 12 players to the total tally of 129 who will be participating (as things stand) on the professional circuit during this campaign.
In fact, there is only one of those spots still up for grabs with the African Snooker Championship winner to be determined at the end of the month.
However, the tour has basically taken shape ahead of what promises to be another hectic and trophy-laden period for the sport.

When is the first event of the 2025/26 snooker season?
The ranking event version of Championship League Snooker will provide the first opportunity to win silverware during the new term.
Ali Carter will be the reigning champion when play gets under way on June 30th, but the season’s first silverware won’t be awarded until July 23rd.
Before that, there will be some qualifying action with the preliminary stages of the 2025 Wuhan Open being conducted at the Mattioli Arena in Leicester.

Here, though, is a rundown of the players who you will be able to follow on the World Snooker Tour during the 2025/26 season.

Jamie Clarke is not included but yet he never entered Q School. I’d be surprised if he’s retired or taking a sabbatical. I hope Cao Yupeng plays as otherwise it’s selfish to remain on tour when another player could’ve filled the gap.
No medical exemption for Martin Gould this time.
Clarke is taking some time away to concentrate on his business, I’ve been told.
Fair enough. Graeme Dott due in court today.
Thanks so much for the updates. U are going a great service. Enjoy 2025/2026 season
Thanks, Ger. Enjoy the new season.
