It’s been almost a full month since the last snooker ball was hit in anger on the Main Tour at the Gibraltar Open.
The new normal amid the COVID-19 age is one in which there’s no live sport but plenty of online reading, watching, and gaming.
The qualifiers for the World Snooker Championship were supposed to be taking part at the moment with the two-part Judgement Day scheduled for tomorrow and Wednesday in Sheffield.
Saturday, then, would have seen the commencement of the 2020 edition in which Judd Trump was hoping to become the first maiden winner to return and successfully defend the Crucible crown.
We’re not sure if this year’s tournament will proceed or not, although new dates towards the end of July and into August have provisionally been arranged.
In the meantime, everyone must be patient and wait for the coronavirus crisis to sufficiently subside.
There are, of course, more important things than sport and it’s not really a difficult thing to give up for a spell – in what has recently been the Easter period, you can think of it as Lent.
Still, some may need a fix every now and then, and that’s why there’s been a continued output of historical pieces and quizzes for you to hopefully enjoy here.
ICYMI: A or B #3
Let’s return to the latter today, and it’s back to the popular quiz “A or B” series for the first time in a fortnight.
In this teaser, your mission is to answer 15 questions in the time allotted, with the straightforward choice of two options to select from in each.
Be careful because it’s a minefield, meaning any wrong answer will end the quiz and you’ll have to start from the beginning again.
In theory, the questions should be a little easier at the start before getting a bit trickier as the timeline progresses, but in reality it’s all simply about what you know and what you don’t – and maybe a few lucky guesses thrown in for good measure.
The question is, will you pick the right one and make it to the end?
